Day 1: Addis Ababa
Arrive Addis Ababa and transfer to your hotel. City tour of
Addis Ababa.
Accommodation: Your preferred hotel in Addis Ababa
Day 2: Addis Ababa – Bahar Dar
Fly to Bahar Dar. Boat excursion on Lake Tana to visit the
ancient monasteries on the islands and peninsula such as Ura
Kidane Mehret and Kebran Gabriel (open only to men).
Afternoon, drive 35 km to the Blue Nile Falls, the source of the
Blue Nile.
Accommodation: Tana Hotel in Bahar Dar
Day 3: Bahar Dar – Gondar
Fly or drive to Gondar. Explore the medieval castles and churches
including Fasilidas’ Palace compound, Empress Mentewab’s Place and
more. Also visit Debre Berhan Selassie Church and the “bathing
palace” of Fasilidas.
Accommodation: Goha Hotel in Gondar
Day 4: Gondar – Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela. Start visiting the stunning rock-hewn
churches, one of the “Eight Wonders of the World”, in the town.
Accommodation: Lal Hotel or Roha Hotel in Lalibela
Day 5: Lalibela
A half-day excursion by mule to Ashetan Maryam Church on top of a
mountain with spectacular view of surroundings. Back to the town
and visit rest of the rock-hewn churches. (Or full day,
visit Yemrehanna Kristos Church)

Day 6 : Lalibela – Axum
Morning, visit Na'akuto La'ab church and fly to Axum.
Explore the ancient capital city of Axum, including obelisks
(monolithic stelae), the bath of the Queen of Sheba, palace and
tombs of kings, archaeological museum and St. Mary of Zion
churches, where the original Ark of the Covenant is believed to be
rested.

Day 7 : Axum – Addis Ababa
Fly back to Addis Ababa and free time or your preferred tour.
Dinner with Ethiopian traditional shows and coffee ceremony.
